Passing Time

I was chatting with a friend this morning and she told me about a great computer game she is playing. She said, “It passes the time.” I got to thinking – why do we want to “pass the time?” Time is precious. We are given only so much here on earth and then it’s gone. We shouldn’t “pass” time, we should grab it, savor it, use it and be aware of every single minute we are blessed with.

I think this was best expressed in a quote from my favorite TV show, “Medium,” in which Alison DuBois says, “Time is priceless, yet it costs us nothing. You can do anything you want with it, but you can't own it. You can spend it, but you can't keep it. And once you've lost it, there is no getting it back. It's just gone.”
