Dear Barbara

At the turn of the century, I gave myself a gift... my resolution was to read more, so I bought myself the intriguingly titled The Prophetess... and I was bitten by the 'Barbara bug'. The Prophetess has a special place in my heart because it represents a timelessness - the voice of Woman echoing in the voices of many women like Sabina and Catherine. I have just finished reading The Dreaming - and once again this timeless voice is heard. Thank you for writing such strength into your novels. The world needs heroines as much as it needs heroes.

As I have dreams of becoming a writer myself, I would deeply appreciate any advice you could give me on how to approach the business of being a writer... and also, I am intrigued as to why you choose to represent Woman in one of two guises - as a Seeker, and as a Treasure?

Kind Regards and best wishes
