I just read Virgins of Paradise. I was totally engrossed in it and was sorry when it ended. I wanted to know the rest of the story. Thank you for giving me a taste of Egypt

dear ms.wood, i enjoy very much reading your books. i read them, shared them with my family, people bet 14 and 50, except for butterfly, i will keep it away from my youngest, for now, and often wondered about your interest in stories involving women and medicine. i regard your books as much more than telling a story, i look at them as a pleasant way to learn about alternative medicine, history, and the human nature. thank you for your generosity, thank you for sharing your talent with us. respectfully, m.r.

I have just read the French version of your novel Virgins of Paradise. I found it really interesting and I will buy your other books (in English this time) because I really like your style. Could you please help me in finding information about the Islamic metaphorical language. Presently I am analyzing the novel L'Enfant de sable by Tahar Ben Jelloun (Morocco) and I notice that in that book a number of images have a significance other than the same in our western culture. For instance: the number 7, the image of the DOOR, each day of the week, etc. I would be very very pleased if you would answer to this message, just saying that you received it. Dear Barbara, I'm a language student in Liverpool and I just love your books! I've read Soul Flame, (my favorite!), The Prophetess, Virgins of Paradise, The Dreaming, and I've almost finished reading Green City in the Sun. I am half German, so I hope one day you will write about Germany! Please add me to your Newsletter e-mailing list. Your books are better than any I've read! Love from a big fan.

I was wondering if you have written or are going to write a prequell or sequell to The Prophetess. If so, do you know where I can get it or when it'll come out? If not, it's my humble opinion that it would be a great read. thanks for your time Alex Kittson

Hello! I read your book PERFECT HARMONY and truly enjoyed it. I went to my local library and checked out everything they had by you and then got the rest of them from Inter-Library Loan. Have just finished CHILDSONG and it was excellent. I was wondering if you have done any more research on parthenogenesis since you wrote that? Have just started reading CURSE THIS HOUSE. What particularly impresses me as I am a writer also, is how you are able to cross genres so well. You write a wide variety of genres and that is rare in any author. Hope to keep in touch with you via your web page. If you get the chance, I would be interested in your religious beliefs. I thought that would make an interesting addendum to the CHILDSONG. As an agnostic, I am always interested in hearing about various faiths--and non-faiths. Thank you for your talent and time through your books. One last note--I have been asked by the local ibrary to lead a reader's group and I am going to suggest they focus on some of your books. Have you ever had study guides or reader's guides created for any of them? Appreciate the info!

Hi This is my first visit to your website. A year or two ago, I read a book entitled Butterfly. Then I read Stars. It was written by Katherine Harvey. While browsing in my favorite book store, someone told me that you have written under that name. Is this true? If so, will you be writing any books in the newar future under that name? Please put me on your newsletter e-mail mailing. Thanks.

I just discovered you a couple months ago. Our library only has about half your books. Will search for the rest through your bookstore links. Can't tell you how much I enjoyed reading what was obviously written from the heart. Can't even conceive the tremendous amount of research that went into Dreaming, Green City, Prophetess and others. Prophetess was my favorite so far, also the first because it was LARGE PRINT. So nice to be able to say THANK YOU I THINK YOU ARE A FABULOUS AUTHOR in person, so to speak. Love your cat flowers. Very Sincerely Carolyn McLeroy

Hi, I'm from Mauritius Island and it's been 3 years since I last read 'VIRGINS OF PARADISE'; one of the best books I've ever read. I am also fond of supernatural and family saga novels. In fact, what you see in this book is that the past always catches you, especially when something rotten has been done. I am now on 'THE PROPHETRESS' and I'm looking forward to buy the english version of your new book; I don't remember the title...it's about a chinese woman who goes back to her homeland. I've seen the book in its french version because here in Mauritius, there's a lot of books which are translated in french. But the original version is better. Keep it up in writing excellent novels for us. Good luck in your next best seller. From the paradise island, Mauritius.
