Hello Barbara and Sharon,
I'm looking forward to reading Black Opal but I'm desperate because I don't know when this novel is going to be published.
Please tell me when will I be able to buy this book???

PS: Recently, there was this movie "Vital Signs" on German TV. It was just great and the plot was really kept close to the novel. I hope there will be other movies by Barbara very soon.Laugh
cheers, sinoFrin

i have no idea about "BLACK OPAL" (I always get confused with the titles in German and English), but as for the tv films of Barbara's books, there are quite some books made into such films by German television. I personally don't like them a lot, but if you do, I think there are even DVDs/Videos available from "Sturmjahre" is also available at the ZDF online SHOP.

Hi Sino, Hi Steffie,

Hope your Summer is going well Smile

OK, here's the scoop with BLACK OPAL. This was Barbara's working title when she was writing her manuscript set in 1800's Australia. Barbara decided to change the title along the way to THIS GOLDEN LAND.

Dieses Goldene Land will be published in German in October 2010, and in Spanish, La Tierra Dorada also in October 2010. The English language version will be published by the end of the year.

Take care,
Sharon Smile

Hey there. I am still "alive". It was about time that I showed up here again. So I basically just learnt that there is a new book coming up Shocked and the story is taking place in my favourite country - yay. Can't wait for the English version (*be patient*). Take care.
